The newest series began due to the fact HSU versus. OBU in the 1907 and you will – even with good 12-season hiatus on account of prank conflicts from the schools – the 95 group meetings set ninth the-big date with respect to DII football’s extremely-played rivalries.
Once 94 meetings, Ouachita Baptist comes with the slightest virtue. Ouachita features claimed the final five meetings, plus in 2017 when Ouachita snapped the new Reddies’ longest street effective streak from inside the DII activities background during the 31 video game within Cliff Harris Arena.
That most enjoyable truth between the two. Ouachita Baptist obtained their 27th-fulfilling game in a row in the 2019 Battle of one’s Ravine. One tied new listing regarding twenty-seven set from the none other than Henderson County away from 2011-2014.

One to Awesome Area is probably the fresh new tightest battle, and although the fresh Tigers are GAC winners, a loss of profits on the Reddies often see him or her sneak. Who does mean probably shedding property video game.
The newest Reddies are 8-dos as well as on the exterior of the regional ranks lookin into the. While it’s very impractical, because of the way matchups have fell it final weekend from 2022, a great Henderson State win (and lots of other loss) could no less than push him or her with the top ten out of Awesome Part Five.
Xavier Malone could have been among the best receivers from inside the DII football to the Reddies. They have 1,244 m and you may 13 touchdowns coming in. Contrary your, Harlon Mountain candidate TJ Cole (step one,526 yards, 23 touchdowns) and you may Kendel Givens (912 m, a dozen touchdowns) are perhaps an informed backfield in every DII.
